Performances
The festival is not only about moving together. It is also about witnessing.
This year, we are proud to present two performances — created and carried by the very artists and teachers who will be sharing their practice with us throughout the week. A rare chance to see the creative lives of the people you'll be dancing alongside.
HACER SONAR EL AIRE
Harness dance adapted to the space
A creation by Maitane Sarralde
Hacer sonar el aire (Making the Air Sound) is a 20-minute dance piece performed on wall and floor. A dialogue between a suspended body and architecture, where the air ceases to be an empty void and becomes matter and resonance. A plastic, visual piece that breathes between the subtle and the explosive, transforming height into silence.
GROUNDING – OFF GROUND
A site-specific performance in Contact Improvisation
Grounding – Off Ground explores the shifting relationship between weight and suspension, gravity and flight, stability and risk. Rooted in Contact Improvisation, the work emerges from a three-day artistic residency prior to the festival, where invited artists work intensively on movement material, spatial composition, and performative structure.
Bodies negotiate gravity not as a fixed condition, but as a dynamic partner. The choreography moves between falling and catching, leaning and lifting, yielding and supporting — revealing how balance is always temporary and relational.
A living composition shaped by place, time, and encounter — an invitation to witness bodies thinking, adapting, and reorganising themselves in relation to gravity, space, and each other.
